THE BUILDING
The North American Mission Board’s (NAMB) headquarters building in Alpharetta, Georgia is a 75,304 Sqft office building that was constructed in 1995. It has glass, precast, metal, and stone surfaces. One look at this building and we knew we were in for a big project.
THE CHALLENGE
Presto Restoration was contacted by NAMB to complete an extensive restoration and protection project on the entire facade of their headquarters. The building’s caulking was deteriorated and in desperate need of replacement, the window frames and window glass were stained and the building’s precast was also visibly in need of restoration and cleaning. We also found rust on some of the metal surfaces on the roof. This building was only about 25 years old when we were contacted and we could tell it was maintained regularly. Still, these types of issues are common even for relatively young buildings.
THE SOLUTION
The Presto team entirely restored and waterproofed the building’s exterior surfaces, including all the glass, metal, and precast concrete using Presto’s own product line. Our restoration and protection products have been developed relying on decades of experience. The Presto team replaced nearly 8 miles of caulking on the structure’s joints using Dow Corning 757 SMS “stain-resistant” silicone caulking. After completing the full restoration, protection and waterproofing of the building, our team developed an exterior maintenance program using Presto Restoration products for the building’s management team.
THE RESULT
The building looked better than new and by properly maintaining the building’s exterior with Presto Restoration Products, NAMB’s HQ will preserve its original appearance and will prevent restoration services from ever needing to be performed again. Presto maintenance plans have been tried and tested for decades and have proven time and time again to be ultra-effective in keeping building facades in great shape including keeping window glass stain-free.
