The Building

The Baldwin Offices is a multi-tenant office building built in 1990 and located in Cincinnati, Ohio’s central business district.

The Challenge

Presto Restoration was contacted because the building’s glass had developed hard mineral stains from years of improper care and maintenance. These mineral glass stains were greatly affecting the building’s overall aesthetic and obstructing the occupant’s view of the outside world.

The Solution

The plan of attack was to perform a full window glass restoration to restore the clarity and shine of the glass and then seal it with a protective waterproof treatment. Building management notified the Presto team that there were two large signs attached to the roof that had presented a challenge to vendors in the past when attempting to set up a swing stage system. The Presto technicians analyzed the situation and due to having decades of experience, easily found a safe and sturdy solution.
The fragile windows of The Baldwin Offices building required a little extra care to restore without damaging. Using the Presto ReSurfacer System, the Presto team succeeded in restoring the building’s hard water stained window glass back to a like-new appearance. The last step of the project was to waterproof the newly restored glass. Our technicians used Presto Glass Defender MD on the exterior of all the windows to keep the glass protected from external elements and prevent future staining.

The Result

By following a proper glass maintenance plan outlined by the Presto Restoration team, the newly restored window glass will remain stain-free and won’t require future restoration.
