THE BUILDING

Ross Park Mall is a large shopping mall in Pittsburgh, PA that opened its doors in 1986. The mall houses over 160 well-known retailers.

THE CHALLENGE

Presto Restoration was contacted because the exterior stone surface of the building had accumulated a significant amount of mold and mildew, causing it to appear weathered and run down.

THE SOLUTION

Prior to starting the stone restoration, Presto technicians took extra precautions to be sure that pedestrian walkways and vehicle traffic surrounding the work areas would be protected and uninterrupted during the duration of the project. 

Presto technicians were able to utilize a lift to reach all the areas that needed to be treated. Presto’s own product, Stone Restore CB2, was used to restore the building’s stone to its original, more pristine condition.

THE RESULT

The stone restoration was completed without disrupting normal daily activities of the mall and its customers, and it made an incredible difference on the shopping mall’s appearance. Ross Park Mall went from looking like a run-down retail space to a high-end establishment. The exterior of a building is a representation of the businesses that operate inside of it, so it’s safe to say that all of the retailers were extremely happy with the restoration project.
