The Building
100 W 5th Street is a nine-story office building in downtown Cincinnati, OH. The building was covered in construction dust and debris due to an adjacent building being demolished.
The Challenge
We recently restored the exterior of this building. Our biggest challenge was returning the building to how it looked right after that restoration without damaging any of the protective coatings we applied.
The Solution
We did the best we could to thoroughly clean the exterior of the building. It was covered in dust and concrete slurry and in some cases, we had to do what it took to fully clean the surface, even if that meant damaging the sealers we applied. We resealed any area that needed more intense cleaning.
The Result
Once again, this downtown office building looked brand new. We usually go 15-20 years between exterior restorations but when a building gets taken down next door, you have to expect a little mess.
