THE BUILDING
One Paragon Center is a commercial office building located in the St Matthews neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. The 62,148 Sqft. building was completed in 1986.
THE CHALLENGE
Presto Restoration was invited to participate in a glass, metal and stone restoration demonstration/bid by Nicklies Development, the owners of a two-building property in Louisville, Kentucky called One Paragon Center. The Presto team, along with several other contractors, was provided a small test area of severely stained glass on the One Paragon Center building to demonstrate the team’s restoration capabilities.
THE SOLUTION
The glass restoration demo was completed using Presto’s own Glass ReSurfacer System. When the building owners were presented with Presto’s competitive pricing and saw first hand the dramatic difference between the Presto demonstration and that of the other contractors, there was absolutely no hesitation choosing the Presto Restoration team.
The Presto team wasted no time completing the full scope of the restoration and protection project. The severe stains on the building’s window glass, likely caused by hard water stains and mineral leaching from the surrounding precast, were completely removed using The Glass Resurfacer System. Then the team applied an invisible coating of Glass Defender MD that will protect the newly restored glass from corrosion, stains and water erosion.
The precast and anodized aluminum window frames of One Paragon Center were also severely stained and in need of restoration & protection processes. The precast was cleaned with Stone Restore HD and sealed using LeachStop. LeachStop is an extremely effective, invisible sealant that protects precast from water penetration and prevents mineral leaching onto surrounding glass and metal surfaces. The stained anodized aluminum window frames were then tackled using EnviRestore MSR to remove all the stains from the metal surface and sealed with the Metal Protector MD which fights stains and corrosion, providing long-lasting metal protection.
THE RESULT
Nicklies Development was preparing to list the fully leased building for sale and needed the work to be completed as soon as possible. The Presto team was assembled and the project was completed within the set deadline. As usual, the team provided extraordinary restoration results for the severely damaged architectural materials and with proper maintenance, the building will never require another restoration job.
